Frequently asked questions

“Often disadvantaged communities do not have the resources or capabilities to address water or infrastructure needs. These projects (through CECorps) provide options to the community to address concerns and empower them to implement solutions… I strongly believe in the mission and purpose of the CECorps program within EWB to support local and domestic communities."- Sara Schmeig- REIC on a CECorps' Project

Together, we are creating a world where communities lead, where resilience is built into every system, and where partnerships foster a future of hope, dignity, and strength. Join us and support this critical work today.

Together, We’re Tackling America’s Infrastructure Crisis.

Across the U.S., too many communities still struggle without clean water, reliable plumbing, or accessible transit systems. For instance:
  -
2.2 million Americans still lack running water
with Indigenous households being
19 times more likely to face this challenge than others.
  -
522,752 U.S. households were without complete plumbing as of 2021.
  - Nearly
45% of Americans lack access to essential public transit.
  - Meanwhile, much of our infrastructure has gone without major updates since
1956.

Community Engineering Corps (CECorps) is actively partnering with communities to co-create resilient solutions to these critical issues. Our projects are crafted to last—each one strengthening community infrastructure and empowering residents for generations to come.

Support CECorps and join us in improving lives, uplifting communities, and addressing urgent needs right in our backyard.
