Imagine a devasting flood destroying everything you own, and denying you access to clean water, sanitation, and safety. Now imagine it happening every year...

Welcome to the Belize Team's fundraising page. We support the village of Sarteneja, an impoverished community of about 3,500 people who endure intense, storm-induced flooding each year. On top of losing possessions, the community also loses access to clean water and has increased vulnerability to disease due to flooding of pit latrines, and mosquito-borne illnesses.

The Sacramento Valley Professional Chapter Belize team is dedicated to identifying and implementing effective flood control for the community of Sarteneja.

In May 2017, the Belize team completed their Assessment trip to Sarteneja, in which we focused on surveying and data collection. This trip was critical in allowing us to see the problems first-hand and gather the information needed to find a practical solution.

Help our EWB team prepare for their Implementation trip in the Spring of 2018 by making a donation today.  The process is fast, easy, and secure. Whatever you can give will help us to help the people of Sarteneja!

If you can't make a donation at this point, help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter! Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page!

I truly appreciate any support you can provide. Thank you!
