The North Carolina State chapter of Engineers Without Borders needs your help to purchase project materials and labor costs so that our student teams can coordinate with developing communities to engineer sustainable change.

Here at EWB-NCSU, our mission is to develop sustainable engineering practices in local and international communities through research, education, and networking by building on existing infrastructure with committed members, consistent funding, and technical expertise. Beyond our international and local projects, we also participate in multiple community outreach programs with student groups and local schools.

Donation Levels

At each level of donation, there is something for you in return!

*Note: Our 7th Annual Benefit Dinner will take place on March 17th at Hunt Library. You will receive more details!

What are we working on?

Currently, we have three ongoing projects: a water distribution system in Sierra Leone, a solar energy installation in Sierra Leone, and a rainwater catchment implementation in Guatemala.

For some background, here is a snapshot of the costs for our next round of travel:

Sierra Leone Water Systems - $15,000: Solar pump system, 2 handwashing stations, water storage tank, water storage platform

Sierra Leone Renewable Energy - $20,000: 12 photovoltaic panels, electrical wiring, control boxes

Guatemala Water Systems - $16,000: 10 one tank rainwater systems, 8 two tank rainwater systems, piping for roofs, purification

This holiday season, consider helping us fund our international travels to provide energy and clean water to developing communities. All (tax-deductible!) donations go directly to project costs, directly benefiting the communities.Together, we can help initiate meaningful change across the globe from here in North Carolina -

Think and Do the Extraordinary!
