University of Tulsa Chapter Questioneering: EWB Trivia Night
It has been a great year for the University of Tulsa student chapter of Engineers Without Borders! Our chapter has been assigned a new international program in Machacamarca, Bolivia. Our project with Youth Services has started building their solar cell phone charger. The Community Engineering Corps has approved their project, and they are almost ready to begin implementation. Another team continues to refine their bulk food transporter for The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Our Potters for Peace water filtration project team has decided to work with the project in Bolivia to test their drinking water for contaminants.
We are truly excited to begin a new program in Machacamarca. We are planning our first visit to the community for May of this year to discuss the community needs and gather information. We expect the first project to be a sanitation project, as they have no working sanitation facilities but realize the importance of proper waste disposal.
All this work would be impossible without the generous support from our donors. This year, we are having an engineering trivia night and silent auction! Bring your coworkers, friends, and family out to support our goal in helping build a better world. We would like to request your support of our students and their ongoing projects to improve lives in our local community and around the world.
